IIRC, breakfast was only a continental b'fast delivered to your room, but I could be mistaken, it was about 2 years ago I used this.
Upgrade will most likely be just to a room with a better view.
One real benefit is you should be able to check in early, if you go to the invited guests counter; and of course you get the late check out.
