This is just not accurate. The fare class of purchase is not a big driver of FCM offers. This is why many folks get a better deal calling in for a refare than the FCM. I'm getting an FCM offer for $429 on a B-fare ticket that cost $750. The F seat on that plane is only $950 (so only $200 extra - $229 less than the FCM offer). The refare is where you see fare class mattering, not the FCM offer.
Yes, I agree with this. However, is there any indication that the FCM buy up offers that are in the reservations are more expensive for medallions? I know from experience that they are often higher than the the simple fare difference, but are they actually targeted offers or just a different sales channel?
