UA removing all non-rev employees on a flight, even seen this on AC?
Was on a UA 737-300 ATL-ORD flight Monday. Shortly after completing the boarding process (a full flight) somebody made an announcement asking every UA employee on board travelling as non-rev passengers to deboard the plane to give seats to revenue passengers left behind by an earlier delayed flight.
About 10-12 people deplaned the aircraft including uniformed pilots and FA + other UA employees obviously traveling on their own. They said that UA revenue passengers had priority over employees in order to give their customer the best service possible. After it was finished they even asked for 2 more passengers to give their seat away. I volountereed and was able to leave ATL on the next flight, upgraded to F and got a $200.00USD travel voucher.
Netherless to say I was quite impressed by this and was wondering if somebody ever saw something similar happening with AC employees on an AC plane.
