I think the basis for removing the unclaimed column is that it largely depended on check in status. Now that you are automatically checked in for your flight, I can't think of what it would be based on. Someone feel free to prove me wrong.

Gone are the days where you can approach the podium and ask if F is checked in full, in hopes of the GA telling you that you have a chance. It's still a possibility with misconnects, but I think digging into that requires additional steps on their part, whereas unclaimed was an easy indicator.
