That's a "Best Practice" when it comes to changing emails in a corporate environment. Despite the warning message, the email will get auto-forwarded to the intended recipient for a pre-determined time frame. If the person sending the email thinks it didn't actually arrive, they will (theoretically) follow the instructions and change the Contact in their email program.
