They updated the period they'll pay the double (6 points per) points on Marriott spend to the end of 2019 on the application page for the card so I'm assuming we'll have it for next year at least. Plenty of time to clear the bonus and take advantage as much as one wants to but who knows after that...

But yes - got mine post-merger. Points just go to Marriott account/SPG points are no more,
