If you're waiting to be approved, be sure to log in and check the website daily. I did NOT get a notification email as I expected to. Was starting to give up hope of getting approved in time for my trip next week, but very glad I decided to log on tonight! I'll be doing the interview on arrival at LAX next Friday 12/21 and will be happy to report back about that afterwards.
Your TPP account says that they don't send emails out (though sometimes they do. It might be that your email provider is blocking them) so it is down to the applicant to keep checking.
I did get an email that arrived coincidently when I was checking my account to see if I had been approved. I was checking twice a day!
