And since nobody with a clue would spend 45K miles for a $300 flight, it makes sense to run some mileage discounts.
There may be a concentrated strategy from IAG to specifically squeeze Norwegian right now, too to get the acquisition since they're apparently talking again. IAG can eat a couple of points of margin for a strategic victory, Norwegian can't.
