One World Lounge access by cabin class rather than status

Hi there, if this question is not sufficiently BAEC related I apologize and would appreciate someone moving it to the appropriate forum.

We are flying out of GIG tonight on AA metal with business class tickets. I am BAEC silver but my wife and two kids are BAEC bronze. I want to use the Plaza lounge at GIG rather than the AA, but I think I would only be allowed to take one guest:

BA have no proprietary lounge at GIG (Rio) and so BAEC passengers with status or CW tickets are asked to use the Plaza Premium. So, citing my own experience, I can use the Plaza Premium or the AA Admirals Club at GIG if I have a CW ticket for a BA flight. I can also use both of these lounges even without a CW ticket because I am BAEC Silver.
However, my question is whether an AA business class passenger (but without any OW sapphire status) can use the Plaza lounge rather than the Admirals Club? I would assume the answer is no because the Plaza is not a OW lounge and so would not permit Business class passengers from AA to enter in the same way that the Admirals would allow a BA Club passenger to enter (because they are travelling in business on a OW partner carrier). I hope that makes sense.
