Not relevant to your specific flight, but for those of us flying transcon from FLL, you will always have an outage over the majority of the Gulf of Mexico. It goes out around 50nm offshore from Sarasota, and then does not come back until you reach just off the coast of Louisiana. You'd think with Satellite-based WiFi whether you are over land or not shouldn't matter...and it doesn't. I guess it's just a coincidence that the satellite footprint doesn't cover the Gulf route. Luckily, it's only between 30-45 minutes.
