If started renewing process before expiration date, Global Entry privilege is extended up to six months. Yours was expired but "renewed", I wonder six months extended period applies to you. When you fly again before your GE renewal is approved, if you receive PreCheck again, then you know why.
Unfortunately not, I've flown a couple times while the application was pending review for this renewal, and I was not given PreCheck
