Buying BA flights from Iberia
Dear all
This is a probably a really stupid question but please bear with me and i like to think i know about booking flights but evidently i do not.
I am looking to travel to NYC (out to JFK and back from EWR) from LHR in May- on a normal economy ticket with a checked bag.
Im looking at dates and using skyscanner - but i just checked, and the BA flights i want are over £50 less on Iberia than they are on BA- ideally, i am looking to spend under £400 return and the BA price direct is over.
Is there any reasoning for this? and would it be safe to book through Iberia? i know its best to book direct but the difference in price is basically 2/3 of a night in my hostel in NYC.
I mean, there is also the option of United who were GREAT when i flew with them or American airlines - i am not that fussed although i really do not want to fly Virgin and havent flown delta in years.
So my question is, what are the downfalls of booking through iberia not direct with BA and why is the cost coming up differently?
