Wow, those are disastrous experiences! I went there a dozen times over the years, as I like the location, the pool and the rooms, but I concur that breakfast is horrible: random service, outrageous prices, limit to Globalist credit. I actually often go for breakfast at Petrossian around the corner on 7th ave.
I will be at PHNY again this Friday, let's see how it goes.
