In simple numbers it's a mistake that will cost Marriott in lost sales in excess of $25,000 a year for at least the next few years. This just compounds the reasons I dont stay at Marriott properties any more. This last weekend I stayed at the Marriott Waikoloa on the big island and I had never been more dissapointed with the service and room for a 'category 6' hotel.
If you dont stay at Marriott properties any more, how can you be a "real silver"?

If you had such a disappointing stay at a cat 6 property why do you want to stay in the program, let alone request a comp to plat?

Good decision MR!!
