Ideas for 17-year old boy and 13-year-old girl on Oahu

My brother lives in Waianae, and myself (father) and 2 children are visiting him from Dec. 21 through Jan. 3. I visited my brother 2 years ago with my children, so I am somewhat familiar with Oahu.

My son is fairly adventurous and in good shape. He wants to do a fair amount of exploring and hiking. Can anyone suggest any hiking trails that would be fun but not dangerous. (He hasn't hiked that much and has too much confidence in himself) I have checked out Kualoa ranch and he would like to do the zip-lining and ATV portion of their package.

Also, my son wants to climb Kanehoalani Mountain. I see where it is a sacred mountain. Am wondering whether climbing the mountain is allowed?

My daughter likes to swim and said she wanted to go tubing. I believe that is when an inner tube is pulled by a boat, a little bit similar to skiing. Pretty sure she would like zip lining also.

Wondering whether there are any good ocean boat trips? (I would expect that there would be) Thanks for any suggestions that anyone can make.
