I asked for this today. I am a real silver with Marriott and Plat with competitors. I stay in hotels in excess of 200 nights a year. According to Melanie C Green at Marriott Rewards, they would not honor my status. In simple numbers it's a mistake that will cost Marriott in lost sales in excess of $25,000 a year for at least the next few years. This just compounds the reasons I dont stay at Marriott properties any more. This last weekend I stayed at the Marriott Waikoloa on the big island and I had never been more dissapointed with the service and room for a 'category 6' hotel.
