Assuming this is one ticket I’m not certain if BA are able to move you to the easyJet flight that leaves at lunchtime from Gatters. I haven heard of flights moved to a budget airline, but if you are in Y and they include baggage the service is pretty similar to BA these days.

but if not they will probably allow you to move the US flight to the day before or to cancel with a full refund....
