I flew to PVG a few months ago, but knew it was YMM* 777-200ER, and they are bad as far as IFE goes. I knew it was going to be on route, didn't touch the IFE apart from the moving map, and I ended up drinking, chatting to the crew in the galley and sleeping. But for average passenger they don't know this and it is a big letdown, and customers look to the likes of ME carriers as being great.
