BE AWARE. BEWARE. This Hampton was a truly weird experience for me.
They tried to pull the higher-rate-switcheroo at check-in. Their english
skills declined as I insisted on the lower rate printed on my confirmation
notice.
They wouldn't [re]print the sign-in form with the correct rate ... and
hem'd and haw'd when I asked them to note the correction in ink and initial
the change. They ultimately ... but it was a struggle.
In the morning, the folio under the door continued the wrong/higher
rate nonsense. The front desk clerk was not particularly interested in
the correct/lower rate. He also couldn't seem to find my sign-in form
with the edits. It was there; thankfully, I can read upside-down and was
able stop him has he tried to page past the sign-in evidence.
This is the only Hilton family property where I felt that I was dealing
with crooks. This is pretty harsh; but this experience went well beyond
the typical untrained or distracted employee nonsense.
