What if there was a limit to the number of new threads and a limit to the number of times that you could post on the thread (along with a breather of four more entries on that thread before you can post again)?

FWIW, I agree with this post. If the technology allows it,
perhaps an hourly flood control? If anything, it might cool down the flame bait, and force folks to think before hitting the enter button. A well-thought-out post debating something is buch better than the bumper sticker rhetoric that gets bantered about there recently. That might cool down the carpal tunnel brigade, or at least the most notorious one or two.
