Note, this was an old legacy US DM card with the lifetime 10k annual bonus. I decided with AA devaluations 10k just isn't worth keeping open a CC with $89 AF anymore!
We have been going back and forth on just this situation recently. Ultimately we decided to keep the card open for another year and pay the fee for the first time ever. Bag fees(losing status for 2019) and the 10K seem to make it a wash for now and we will reevaluate again next year. With any luck, Barclays will begin issuing fee waivers again by then.
