The other post is regarding a passport that never scanned properly. My concern is specifically about a passport that for some reason becomes unreadable. Since I have been having issues in airline kiosks as well, it is likely not a CBP issue. I did not see any other forum that specifically addresses passports. I was just wondering if there is some kind of trick to make the barcode scan more effectively.
