I flew QR on my anniversary and mentioned it at check-in, by the time I was boarding the gate agent gave us a box of chocolates which was clearly marked for us so I am assuming the check-in lady was kind enough to carry out this gesture.

If you have 8hrs in Doha then depending on the day of the week and time you are in Doha you can go out for dinner so make your reservations now
