I left an iPod and noise canceling headphones on the aircraft once, they were found by the cleaning crew. Called them the next day and made an appointment to pick them up at the airport during my next transit.
In your case, what has the lost&found desk advised? They do have relationships with courriers to delivery lost luggage, so they may be able to ship it. I'm not sure how easy it would be for an external courier to come pick up lost items (you'll need to access the luggage area of the airport in order to pickup items, and by default that can only be done by yourself).
