you can't go CAI-FRA-BKK then route back through MAN-FRA-CAI because you've already gone to europe - so either you'd have to start CAI-SIN-BKK... or end ORD-HKG/NRT(some point in asia)-BKK-SIN-CAI.

Nothing wrong with that routing. Just this month, I flew a CRWSTAR1 CAI-FRA-SIN-HKG-SFO...JKF-FRA-VNO with VNO-FRA-CAI still to be flown. 13.75 PPS sectors for PPS requalification 10 weeks into my year!
