DL1348 LAX>MSP B752 15:30-21:04 First Dinner (Mon. 26-Nov-18)

I cleared the upgrade after boarding had started, GA made specific announcement asking me to wait. Still, got a PDB. Choices were salmon salad or vegetarian lasagna. I don't eat fish (not an allergy, just a bad experience) so I took the lasagna. It was very delicious. The torte for desert was new to me and also moist, sweet and yummy. The flatbread is meh for me, no flavor and nothing to spread on it or dip it in so I could do without. I had done PVG>LAX the night before in J and I maintain that the domestic service is far superior. I know the flight is shorter but at no point was the A350 J service as good as this 757 F.

DL1505 MSP>SFO B739 17:57-20:22 First Dinner (Sun. 2-Dec-18)

I was doing some work in the gate area and a bit late to board and the GA was boarding everyone through Sky Priority (I asked her why -- I'm a jerk) so I was very late to board, but still got offered a PDB. Really fantastic FA, wish I had gotten the JWD's in my DM kit this year but will submit via web instead. Choices were "beef or halibut". The halibut was on a bed of noodles. Again, no fish for me. Except for the meatballs out of LAX, this beef was better than my other 2 beefs in Int'l J. It was probably Medium but at some point could have been Medium Rare. Very tender, could cut with fork almost. The crust was good but a touch of horseradish in it would have kicked it up a notch. There was Ben & Jerry's Brownie Ice Cream for desert which I did not photograph. The salad was just OK this time around, but the entree was way better than my poorly lit pic may depict.
