I think one of the best values for travel in First is on BA from LHR>India, which is only 80k miles. Sure, its not AA, and they won't care if you are PLT, but BA first is supposed to be amongst the best around.

Or Look for business sales, where you can get a seat for $2000 r/t from u.s. to euorpe, to fly in AA first.
