Thanks for the clarifications, especially the AA flight as eligible for tier points. I will have 5 BA flights and with the AA flight OK, then that last BA flight (another RTW starting in CAI) will go to the requalifying year. And no need to worry about hitting 600 tier points early in the requalifying year. I have no desire to get BA gold as AA EXP is my preferred OW emerald program.
