What size suitcase? carry-on size or 24" or greater? Hard or soft-sided?
It's really up to you. You could try to reseat the zipper on your own and just buy some cheap luggage straps. Or you can just buy a new suitcase or set of luggage at Target, Costco, or ebags for <$100.
