I recently called citi to confirm that it’s been more than 24 months since I pc’d my prestige to preferred, since I’m thinking of applying for another thank you point card soon. Not only was the rep helpful and efficient with my request, she proactively asked me if there was anything she could do to encourage me to spend more on my thank you preferred card. I told her a points bonus would help, and she promptly offered 5,000 points with $500 spend in three months, in addition to 5x points at department stores, clothing stores, and electronic stores.

For what it’s worth, I’ve spent $5 on this card in the past year. Seems like a decent deal for a card that doesn’t carry an annual fee.
