I've installed KODI on a Fire Stick. When I'm at home, I can stream local content from my phone to Kodi.

I would like to be able to do the same thing in places where I don't want to or can't access the internet. I have a min-router, so I can set up a wireless network easily. But it appears that the Fire Stick won't let me open Kodi (or do anything else) if I am not connected to the internet - it forces you to a screen where the only place you can go is to select a network.

Any way around this this - i.e., is there a way I can run Kodi on the Fire Stick without an internet connection?
