This list - like the one you posted for SF - looks like it is the result of paid promotion. I personally like Pink's but I wouldn't put it on a top ten list.

Free or lowcost activities left out by citysearch:

Rollerblading down the bike path in Venice Beach, and checking out the pickup bball games and muscle beach (the volleyball games at Manhattan Beach are great, too)

Visiting the new Getty Museum (spectacular gardens too)

Find your favorites stars walking down Hollywood Blvd

Watch a matinee at one of the massive old theatres in Westwood or Hollywood

Mexican food at El Coyote or Gilberts (they are always full so they don't need to payoff citysearch to draw traffic)

Attend a game show taping (or better yet, Leno)

Chateau Marmont - many star stories including J. Belushi checking out for good - far more interesting than staged pretty woman nonsense (and a great bar to boot)

The Hollywood Bowl is also an excellent suggestion.

No offense to the OP, but IMO citysearch blows
