Wow, I had no idea that they controlled reviews like that, though I am naturally wary of reviews on a site owned by the reviewed. Using FT or TripAdvisor makes more sense to me, as reviews there are much more likely to be honest and unpurged. I suppose I naturally ignore invitations to review, because I can't recall getting any, but I just went back to my email and searched emails from Marriott, and voila there are some invitations. So I tried to go back and leave a review for the Oakland Marriott, but the invitation has expired.
