Indeed. My eldest brother has a chronic back problem, had many operations on it. He goes on cross country walks, walking 100+ miles a week for 6-8 weeks at a time, but he cannot lift anything, he can only bend down if it's done slowly and if he stands still for more than a couple of minutes he's in agony.
