Did you give permission for them to change your flight? They won't do it without your consent. They make it sound like you have no choice, but actually they will ask for your consent to book you into the new flight before they do it.

If you don't give your permission you can fly your original routing. Of course they may give your seat away if you're not at the gate in time.
