The app doesn't push a notification on boarding time. It does to say it's now boarding. I'm betting misread the message and it was that departure had been changed to 1155. Brain saw 1155 and thought that is boarding time. At least that's what happened to me before.
I’m willing to bet this is what happened as well. One of DL’s worst notifications is the “Flight XXXX is now departing on time at *whatever time* at Gate XXXX”. It is the absolute most useless notification ever because, one, unless something changes, I always assume the flight is going to depart on time, and two, that gate assignment never makes it to the BP in my iPhone Wallet, especially with my connecting flight. I still have to open the app to remind myself the gate.
It sounds like the OP got one of those “Flight XXXX is now departing early” messages but the boarding notification didn’t make it. DL IT strikes again.
