Avios but no Tier Points
I travelled as an Aerclub member on an Aer Lingus return flight (EI***) within Europe, with a booking number commencing with "2". My ticket number did not begin with 053 because it had been purchased outside Ireland. I was awarded avios points but refused tier points. This seems a harsh and arbitrary rule! Is it anyone else's experience that this applies?
