Just to say thanks all for the tips (again). Nabbed two trips for early next year which will top up the tier points - one an awkward open jaw into SAT and out of OKC (with a GUF1, might as well use it ey ;-) and back over the pond on the daytime flight from JFK (which is always my preference). Starting in GVA saved me loads! £1400 I think all in.

Spoke too soon. While waiting for the GUF response and before the ticket was issued, BA pulled the GVA/ZRH fares. They apparently got the "1" and the "4" in the wrong order and have put them right again
