As can be seen from BA’s fleet replacement programme, airlines are generally moving away from large fleets of identical aircraft towards a mix of different aircraft types, in order to allow flexibility. The A380 unfortunately is not a particularly flexible aircraft and has limited use in most airlines fleets.
