Fascinating, I didn't realize the extent of contention between the city and B6. Considering B6's losses there, I'm curious if WN will be able to make LGB "work" if it increases its presence. While only a subjective experience, I don't know that I've ever flown a OAK-LGB flight that's been more than 2/3 full (granted I fly via ONT and SNA a lot more often than LGB). But I do love using OAK-LGB-OAK for cheap segment runs because with the lower loads, they can still pull off the infamous 30 minute turn at LGB to go back to OAK!
But I guess my larger point is WN's current (and potentially increasing) LGB service helps cement it in my mind as the most flexible intra-CA carrier in terms of routing choices. I'll be interested in following how they utilize their slots there.
