can anyone confirm that UA still doesn’t enforce the 7 day restriction with actual experience?

i have an award ticket I’m trying to book with my departure on Monday - there was lots of saver space on various flights this morning (departing midday/early afternoon), including 2 that were pretty good options. These 2, along with many others, disappeared this afternoon by the time I was ready to book.

Wondering if I could book one of the flights that’s available at the moment, and see if the one of the ones I really want becomes available again tomorrow (I’ve been looking on and off the last few days, and it seems that many days, the X/XN space disappears at some point during the day, gone by the evening, but returns in the morning, but who knows when that will end. Also, if they do come back, and I book a higher price award (say at 12.5K with an AC segment vs UA saver at 10K), that I should be able to get the excess mileage back, correct?
