So get her to fly to MAD or ZRH. LHR-ZRH is not far.
Flying out of LHR in business class will have a high tax (APD). That is not compatible with your post 1, but a fact of life (=taxes)

AA business saver awards out of UK at a peak time are a bit like winning the lottery.
