i had a similar issue in the past. Mine was a shareholder's account and I needed to make a new account for A+. I will recommend you get them to bump you up to platinum for your new account in A+. Transfer the points from your old account into the new one.
yes, i experienced this issue too, my account was shareholder account, and i told A+ to remove my shareholder status, then associate A+.
took them 3 days to complete the process, i dont have to register any new member account for the shareholder status because it is not a subscription..
