To clarify, the "other passenger" was not flying from TPA to PHX, and was on a completely different flight. It was a quick conversation I had with the passenger seated next to me about what happened with her sister. I was the only passenger who was VDB and given compensation.
Also, are you saying that volunteering before knowing what the compensation is should not be done?
