I can personally attest that T.W. Carrol & Co. fixes Kirkland/Costco luggage. I was visiting Seattle a few weeks ago and my large, black, ~10 year-old Kirkland roller came out of the airport luggage conveyer with a broken handle and a mangled rub plate. While trying to figure out how to fix the bag, I stumbled upon this discussion thread and, realizing that T.W. Carrol & Co. is just a couple miles from SeaTac airport, I decided to swing by for an assessment.
I left 20 minutes later with the bag fully repaired...and with OEM parts, no less.
So, a couple points:
- Apparently, they have a whole stock of parts for Kirkland bags. I believe that a variety of luggage companies made “Kirkland” branded luggage for Costco, so I don't know whether T.W. Carrol & Co. has parts for every style and color, but they did for mine.
- I also don’t know if their location in the same metro area as Costco HQ is anything other than coincidental.
- They do repairs; they do not sell individual parts. That means that you'll need to get your bag to them in order to repair. That’s fine if you’re in the Seattle area, but a bit inconvenient if you’re somewhere else. According to their website, however, you can first send photos of the needed repairs to them, and they will advise if a repair is possible prior to sending in the bag.
- Just judging from a quick glance into their shop: they clearly fix a lot of other luggage brands, too; not limited to Kirkland.
- Cost was very reasonable, especially when considering the speed and quality (e.g., OEM parts) of the repair.
