For me, the difference between Platinum and Gold makes Platinum well worthwhile. It sounds like in your particular case, assuming your C+ seats are not middles (or you don't mind middles), you may be best staying with Gold.
If it was me, even in your scenario, I'd still go for Platinum due to the C+ upgrades upon booking, award cancellations, and other benefits, and in general, my philosophy is to take a bird in the hand. You can always get additional MQM's via credit cards (i.e. Platinum or Reserve) if you see you're running low. ""agreed. thanks.
