Thanks for reply. I think in retrospect my LAX-SYD earlier this year was a 789 (with plenty of foot space). After two flights on an A330, I was impressed with the foot space. Also gives me comfort that I'm not losing it. The 787 I took ORD-LHR cost me a night sleep trying to lie flat. Gave up on it.
