Sorry about the spam filter, but it is important to look for confirmation emails and when they don't arrive, to track them down. In this case, you don't know whether the confirmation really was at the higher rate.
I suspect the email would match the bill. I'd wager the culprit is on the front end of the booking - either the blended rate part, the rate jumped right before the OP booked and it was missed or Marriott IT messed it up.

Definitely agree with the suggestions above to archive the emails. Just in case. I've never had an issue with the rates not matching, but have my confirmations, if I ever do.
