I need to purchase 3 tickets from JFK to Punta Cana for June 2019 travel. Delta's website is offering me a $200 credit towards this flight if I apply and am instantly approved for their Credit card. Upon instant credit approval, I will immediately be granted $1K credit to use for this purchase to Punta Cana and they will then increase my credit limit once I receive and verify that I have received the cc in the mail. Problem is that the airfare will be over $1,200 dollars and Delta's site states if fare if over $1K I cannot use Delta's credit card towards that flight. It appears Delta's site will not let me use two separate credit cards to pay fare. therefore would still need to spend additional $1K in order to receive $200 credit on my statement. If I apply for the credit card on line without purchasing tickets at same time, the offer decreases from $200 credit to only $50.00 Any advise? Does anyone know if it is true that I cannot use a second CC to pay the amount over the $1K credit approval I will instantly receive? Please help!
