Classic checked baggage if *G
Upcoming RAK-GVA flight in December; my ticket lists my status as *G but the baggage allowance sections says-
Baggage
Check-in baggage
1 piece, up to 50lb / 23kg
max size up to 62li / 158lcm
(width + depth + height)
Hand baggage
1 piece, up to 18lb / 8kg
max size up to 46li / 118lcm
(width + depth + height)Will I be allowed an extra piece of checked baggage?

Also, the trip is laid out RAK-GVA on Sunday, followed by GVA-ZRH-SFO the following day. Had to book it as two separate trips, the RAK-GVA a paid ticket in Y, with the GVA-ZRH-SFO ticked using award miles in C. Will it be possible to book luggage all the way through? It is a legal booking (meaning you can pay for that exact trip, with the layover allowe since less than 24 hours), if that makes a difference.
